Facial Scrub with Sugar, Lavender Essential Oil, Babussa Oil, and White Willow Bark Extract

Lavender & Willow Facial Scrub

Why do I need this?

You know that icky feeling at the end of the day? This scrub gets it off your face. Maybe you feel like you have a film stuck to your face due to pollution. Or maybe you just want to wash away the memory of eating Taco Bell in your car after work. This scrub can do it!

This scrub will show you what it's like to feel brand new again! It will be like Taco Bell never happened. Get Lavender & Willow and get in the shower or bath! YES!

How do I use this?

If you want to get the maximum benefit from this product use it in a hot, steamy shower. Alternatively, you could use it in the bath after laying a hot rag on your face for a minute or so. This way, your pores will be open, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate fully.

Whether you're in the bath or shower just wet your face with warm water and gently massage some of this purple magnificence into your face in circular motions. The scent of Lavender essential oil is the first thing you notice. The steam and vapor of your bath or shower become infused with this calming aromatherapy as the scrub begins to dissolve. According to several studies, Lavender is also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial.

What is it like?

The scrub itself goes on nice and scratchy, but with a simultaneously slick and dry texture due to the avocado and Babussa oil blend. It feels great. It feels like it's scratching all the parts of your face you could never scratch before, but not too hard. Just the tiniest, most effective scratches in the world. Every time I use it I'm like "aaaaarrhhhhhhh! I'm putting this all over my body again...." And then I do it. I have a 16-ounce jar right beside my bath.

How does it work?

As the sugar, oil and water combine, the sugar begins to exfoliate your skin and break down into glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is a water-soluble acid that works to break down and soften the keratin that holds together old skin cells on the very top layer of your skin.

Next, White Willow bark extract (with Salycilic acid) can do its job. Salicylic acid is oil soluble. It can travel into your pores along with the oils in the scrub. Once there it works to dissolve clogs in your pores (like blackheads! those are made of oily stuff like sebum.  That means something oily or oil-soluble has to help dissolve them)! Salicylic acid does this. It also further softens that tough old keratin to ensure the sugar crystals are able to work as effectively as possible to lift those dull, old skin cells away.

But wait, how am I getting my skin hydrated?

Babussa and Avocado oil still have a job to do besides just transporting the Salicylic acid. They are now in a position to penetrate your baby-soft, newly exposed skin for maximum effect. Both of these oils are loaded with beneficial fatty acids your skin needs in order to look and feel its best:

Babussa Oil: vitamin E, antioxidants and fatty acids with a high concentration of lauric acid which offers anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to lauric acid, it is also composed of other fatty acids including myristic, oleic, stearic and palmitic acid

Avocado Oil: Free radical scavenger, anti-aging, helps replenish moisture and elasticity, natural UV protectant, high in vitamin E (helps soothe and heal skin), has more potassium than a Banana!

You will be radiant. And No, your skin will not feel oily. It will feel like you just had the best face wash ever.

How often do I use it?

Use this scrub 2-3 times a week, quit eating fast food, and watch your skin develop it's own Instagram page. Oh, and don't forget to leave us a review on Facebook or on this page! Thanks, and tell a friend!
